Action for Children - Bolton Children's Rights & Advocacy Service

We provide an independent Children's Rights and Advocacy Service for children and young people who are looked after (in care) by Bolton local authority. Our referral criteria includes children with disabilities and young people placed out of Borough. In addition we also provide independent advocacy support for children and young people who are subject to child protection/safeguarding plans.

Referral details Self-referral or referral from professional/other agencies.
Special provisions We act exclusively for children and young people of all abilities to ensure that their wishes and feelings are represented and listened to. We will work with social workers and other professionals to ensure that children and young people's voices are heard and their views taken into consideration when decisions are being made about them. Any child or young person who meets the referral criteria can access the service.

- Appointments outside of office hours are available to meet the needs of service users. Some participation events take place at weekends.
