Community paediatricians are specialist children’s doctors who see children mostly in community based settings, out of hospital. We aim to provide high quality, appropriate assessment, treatment and care for children and young people and their families in Bolton.

Referral details If you are concerned about any aspect of your child or young person's development you may want to see a paediatrician or a member of their team. To be referred to this service you need to contact another professional who know your child/young person to discuss your concerns and they will make a referral if appropriate using the Early Help Guidance. Professionals that can offer support to make the referral include Family Doctor, Midwife, Health Visitor, School Nurse, School or Nursery staff or any other professional.
Special provisions This provision is available up 19 years old if the young person is at a special school. Interpreter available on request.
