The Dyspraxia Foundation is a national, registered charity with its administrative and fundraising centre in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Founded in 1987, it is financed entirely by membership subscriptions and private donations. The Foundation acts as a resource and information centre for those wishing to learn more about dyspraxia, its diagnosis and treatment. The Aspirations project was formed in 1999 to provide social and leisure activities for individuals with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism. The project is open to people from the age of 10 years and upwards – with no upper age limit. The majority of people accessing the service are aged between 10 and 30. To date, over 500 people have attended our activities. Breaking Barriers aims to support Disabled children and young people (aged 0-25) and adults with Autism (aged 18+) and their families to challenge and remove barriers to inclusion.
