Bolton Flat Green Bowling Club has a first class facility that during the summer months hosts not only Club Competitions but also games between Clubs of the County and National Competitions like the Middleton Cup. When ‘grass’ green clubs shut their doors for the winter our Club continues throughout the winter months bowling socially and in competitions most days. At Bolton Karate Centre we teach the 'Shukokai' style of Karate, the group has been in existence for more than forty years and will accept male and female beginners/students from 8 years of age. There is no upper age limit though from 60 years old the student must get their doctors agreement to them training in Karate. All our instructors hold Black Belt Grades and range from 2nd to 5th Dan. Baton Twirling and Pom Dancing Community Group. Offering dance lessons to children and young people from 2 years of age. We train on a Monday and Wednesday evening (lesson times, depending on age). We enter Local and National Competitions, and also attend lots of local events over the summer in the Bolton area. It is a great chance to meet new people and learn a fantastic unique skill. Bolton Mets are a communityRugby League Club formed in Breightmet and in 2020 we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary. Since the clubs formation in 1995, we have operated one open age team with hundreds of players making appearances for the Mets along the way. In 2013 we formed a link with Bolton RUFC meaning we are now based at Bolton Rugby Club in Avenue Street, just off Chorley Old Road.
