Bolton Hospice provides specialist care and support for people in Bolton facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses, and their families. We're an independent charity, and our services are free. We care for patients throughout their illness, helping to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. We also provide compassionate, dedicated and dignified care for patients at the end of their life. 16 private en-suite rooms for those who need care within the hospice. We are a vibrant amateur theatre company run by members. We put on a programme of seven plays each year, running from Saturday to Saturday generally excluding Sunday and we put on extra nights for charities and parties. Our theatre has two auditoria the Main theatre, a traditional proscenium stage with an auditorium seating 160 and The Forge Theatre a more intimate space seating 60 people. Bolton Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit organisation which performs a wide selection of ambitious music. The orchestra performs around six concerts per year. Formed in 1993, the BSO calls on a total of up to 150 musicians to make up the required format for its concerts, BSO contributes significantly to the cultural life of Bolton and the North West, and the majestic Albert Hall, part of Bolton Town Hall, provides the venue for the orchestra's concerts. Breakdown Bolton is an organisation which is peer- led by artists with lived experience of mental health issues. Breakdown Bolton runs high quality arts projects and often works with stigmatised groups. Breightmet is now the new home of a unique social enterprise, Breightmet Quilting Studios. Our goal is to establish a creative space for quilters and textile artist to share their skills.
