    We are a local home education charity, providing activities and peer supportfor families home educating in the Bolton area. We run several educational workshops that run regularly throughout the week, including art classes, science classes, gymnastics and bushcraft. We alsoorganise educational trips to theatres, museums and theme parks. We aim to be as inclusive as possible. Many of our children have additional educational needs (SEN), and we allow parents and carers to stay for all the sessions

    The Bolton Astronomical Society is a local group of enthusiasts, spanning a wide range of ages and experience. The Society hosts a series of Tuesday evening meetings throughout year, including presentations by Society members or visiting guest speakers (often from local Universities). We also hold extra observing sessions and group events throughout the year. Membership is open to all, and costs £20 annually (£10 for concessions). Non-members are welcome to attend our meetings at

    We are affiliated to both Lancashire County FA and the WFA, whose insurance covers our activities. In September 2012, we were awarded the FA Charter Standard Club status.We offer training sessions for beginners and those who want to play recreationally. If you are a powered wheelchair user, why not come and watch us training to see if you fancy giving it a try.We usually train on Friday evenings from 5pm to 7.30pm at Smithills Sports Centre, Smithills Dean Road, BL1 6JS.
